As i sat there and examined the video "A Power of 10", by Bomi Lee it occurred to me that at one point or another all of us become accustomed to how we see the world. How "big" that movie star is or how "popular" that basketball player is. In the end, we are all the same. This video is proof that we should re-examine our lives. We begin to forget about how small and insignificant we are as a human in this "ginormous" universe. Starting with an image of a couple having a picnic at a local park, the image began to zoom. First, zooming out to the extremities of the Universe and later zooming into our bodys. This video is helpful in letting you realize the small grain of sand you are among other billions and billions of grains. At both extremities it was basically the same picture of empty space. Reevaluating our lives is a great thing to do, one that isnt always done because of the comfort zone we live in. We honestly begin to fool ourselves and become unaware of how none of us is better than one another. Day in and day out we idolize people such as, sport stars, singers, actors and actresses, and etc. We are all the same! Ive always believed this. But, after watching this video it is bright as day. Our teacher, Mr.Gonzales actually put up a great example for us. He stated that from our perspective the earthquake in Haiti was truly a tragedy, one we would never forget. Yet, when looking at such a thing from outside of our galaxy, it is honestly unnoticeable. We should all stop being selfish and look at things as a whole, this will bring out the best in all of us.
